InterWhatNow?
InterWined.com isn’t your average Wine site or blog. In fact, the creative team behind it thinks that it’s something rather special.
You see, InterWined.com is an independent London-based wine blog for experts & amateurs with wine reviews, recipes, food & wine pairings, recommendations, and more.
So, whether you’re one of those people that says you don’t like chardonnay, until one night at dinner party someone gives you glass, and suddenly you do; a respected retailer and winemaker like our friends at Planet of the Grapes and Even Keel Wines; or anything in between, InterWined.com is for you!
At InterWined you’ll get a regular dose of wine & health news, tasting notes, recipes, food and wine pairings, advice, videos, and more. Heck, you can even sphere related content and share posts with your friends too.
What’s more, thanks to Alex King, the creater of Share This, you can now get InterWined.com on your PDA or mobile device, so you’ll never have to feel at a loss when faced with a wealth of wines and dearth of knowledge and support.
The Men Behind InterWined
InterWined.com is hosted by international wine journalist and actor Jacob Gaffney. Beginning his professional career in broadcasting and journalism as an associate producer for ABC-affiliate WNGO in New Orleans, Jacob moved to New York City and began producing international news spots for UPN9, before eventually completing Harriet Lembeck’s exhaustive wine program at the New School and joining one of the world’s most renowned and successful wine magazines, a publication for which he continues to write.
Following his move to London in 2001, Jacob also started to appear in several celebrated films and television dramas, most notably Foyles War on ITV and two of Bafta award-winning director Michael WinterBottom’s most recent films The Road to Guantanamo and the forthcoming feature A Mighty Heart staring Angelina Jolie.
Editor and ‘Blow the Bank’ scribe Sean Sellers shares his name with far more people than he thinks he should, including an infamous Satanist–turned–Christian double–murderer and the progressive Christian Rock band named after him. Before he was born, his mother had wanted to name him the Spanish equivalent of Tiberius, second Emperor of Rome, and middle name of James T Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise. It was a childhood favourite of hers, and presumably few others.
Regardless, Sean thinks it would have conferred a certain degree of individuality upon him and ensured that he was the first entry whenever anyone ‘Googled’ his name; go on have a go — you’ll see what he means.
As it stands he has significant competition from an Iowa car dealer; a student activist in Florida; someone who played the receptionist in an episode of the teen Sci–fi drama Roswell; a Straight–edge, hardcore punk drummer from Santa Cruz, California; the aforementioned Sean Sellers, executed by the state of Oklahoma in 1999 for the murder of his parents; and a bunch of progressive Christian rockers.
